Long-distance moves involve highways and multiple days on the road. Transit insurance protects the declared value of your goods.

Plan your vehicle move

Decide whether your car or bike will travel with the household goods or separately, and keep copies of the RC and insurance handy.

Keep documents with you

Carry ID proofs, property papers, school certificates and medical records personally — never pack them in the truck.

Research your new neighbourhood

Check commute times, schools, hospitals and markets before choosing a home. Local knowledge saves a lot of time later.

Update your address

Update Aadhaar, bank accounts, insurance and vehicle registration after you move, and transfer your gas connection.
